Gabe MirKin 醫生確實指出根據近年來的研究冰敷對於患部復原沒有幫助。然而他也提到 "Since applying ice to an injury has been shown to reduce pain, it is acceptable to cool an injured part for short periods soon after the injury occurs. You could apply the ice for up to 10 minutes, remove it for 20 minutes, and repeat the 10 minute application once or twice. "(因冰敷可有效紓緩疼痛,在受傷後短時間內可冰敷10分鐘,暫停20分鐘,重複此步驟一至兩次。)並不是像影片中所說的「千萬不要再冰敷了」。
